Presentation at DAVOS meeting: biohybrid Robotics
We are researching robots that utilize biological materials, such as robots that move by contraction of skeletal muscle tissue and robots covered with skin tissue.
Using receptors of cells, we are researching sensors that use cells and proteins as ultra-sensitive and compact chemical sensors.
3D Tissue Construction
We aim to construct tissues from cells by manipulating and accumulating cells using engineering technology. As part of this, we are also working on building cultured meat from bovine muscle cells.
Artificial Cells/Cell Membrane
We aim to clarify how to artificially constructed cells and cell membranes, and to make attractive systems of living organisms available for engineering.
We are working on the development of implantable devices that can be diagnosed and treated in the body.
We are researching on building a neural network by connecting nerve cells.
We develop microfluidic technology and microfabrication as basic technology for most research in this laboratory.
